An older adult home provider who lives alone and is renting out her new accessory dwelling unit (ADU), came to Home Match with the intent of housing a member of the local workforce at below market rent ($1,200). The home seeker works at Whole Foods and Super Duper and will now be able to live in town. Our subsidy is covering $400 of the monthly rent, which brings the home seeker’s housing cost down to below 30% of his income.
